Travelling and Excursions

One of the main reasons for establishing Siloah had been the fact that in those years a couple of enterprising young people, some of them with significant mobility impairments, were not prepared to accept being discouraged from travelling wherever they wanted, and that in spite of all the barriers they frequently found themselves confronted with. And the desire to go travelling every now and then is still with us. So twice a year Siloah people are going on a recreational and educational journey for a week to destinations in Germany and abroad, they have a pleasurable time on two leisure weekends during the summer and the Advent, and they enjoy themselves on a number of day trip excursions. Normally a bus adapted for disabled passengers and equipped with a lifting platform is being hired for these purposes.
